Premature shedding stage
and increasing hair fall is now a common problem. Women of around 20 years seem to be hit the hardest. Some of the causes can be hormonal problems, severe stress, smoking, inadequate sleep, lack of exercise, some sort of viral infection, and nutritional deficiency. Due to the level of stress in our lives, we tend to follow an irregular dietary pattern, which affects the proper intake of nutrients and micronutrients. Our body is in constant need of Vitamin-D, Zinc, Iron, Calcium, and most importantly Protein for the proper growth of hair. But the best part is that we can cure it and regrow our hair. Consulting an expert dermatologist can help.

I am not going to suggest any type of parlour treatment which is both expensive and uses chemicals leading to hair thinning and irreparable damage to hair roots. I am going to share some home remedies to solve most of your hair problems:

1. Follow a proper diet

With proper diet and exercise, we get rid of our hair problems. A proper level of protein intake is a must. Walnuts, cheese, almonds, raisins, dates, eggs, fish should make a place in our diet chart. In addition to this, an all-in-one juice should also be taken regularly. The contents are 1 beetroot, 1 amla, 1 tomato, 2 to 3 leaves of spinach, 2-3 coriander leaves. This recipe helps in restoring both hair and skin.

2. Onion Therapy

Blend 2 onions and add 2 teaspoons of castor oil to it. Onions are rich in sulfur and have antibacterial properties that prevent hair loss and promote hair growth. After mixing the two ingredients, the juice is extracted by straining it through a cotton cloth. We can also preserve the mixture for future use. Dip a cotton ball and rub it on the scalp for best results. Keep your hair untouched for two hours and then wash it off with a shampoo. Repeat this process at least once a week.

3. Bhringraj Oil Therapy

Apply ayurvedic oils like the "Bhringraj Oil". This oil comes from a plant called "false daisy". It stimulates hair follicles and thus resulting in hair regrowth. Bhringraj contains Vitamin-E, which is known to fight free radicals that can impede growth. It also has antibacterial and antifungal properties that can reduce dandruff.

4. Egg Therapy

This therapy has 4 ingredients- the first and foremost is egg, the yolk is used to moisturize the hair. Egg yolk is a superfood for hair as it contains Vitamin-A, E, biotin and folate which help in regrowing hair. Regular use of eggs provides ample nourishment which infuses shine in the hair. The second ingredient is milk. Milk is a protein that thickens the hair and adds a natural shine. The third is coconut oil, it helps in the revival of scalp health and faster growth of hair. Coconut oil is also effective against dandruff and fungal infection on the scalp. Coconut oil is absorbed into the hair strands better than mineral oils, which also helps in preventing hair breakage and split ends. Lastly, add 3-4 teaspoons lemon juice because it is rich in vitamin C and has a lot of bleaching properties. It helps in reducing oil on the scalp and naturally lightens the hair. Apply the paste, keep it for 2 hours and then wash it off. Continue this for 2-3 months to see the effects.

5. Yogurt Therapy

Curds are good for boosting immunity and are essential to hydrate the scalp. It makes hair long and strong. It fights dandruff and also fixes frizzy hair. It works even better when mixed with 2 teaspoons of honey. This incredible blend makes hair softer and smoother like never before.

Even methi seeds soaked overnight with curd can be an alternative.

6. Shikakai Treatment

Shikakai is also called the fruit for hair. It is a traditional age-old method of washing hair with shikakai combined with amla and reetha as a shampoo to restrict hair fall. It has a healing property and a cold nature. Now, How to use it? Remove the seeds of Shikai after crushing the fruit and then soak it in 1 glass of water for one hour. Apply the water before washing.

To conclude, hair fall to some extent is natural but with care and maintenance we can retain our hair. Hair massage and exercise are a must for the proper circulation of blood to the roots. All the points in the above article are very much effective and I have seen good results myself.
