Today, in the era of the 21st century, we all know the value of money. It is as important as the life of an individual. We all have heard about the saying- "Cut your coat according to your cloth" which means that we should undertake what we have whether it's money or our ability to do anything and not more than that. But now in the present, money matters a lot to everyone according to the saying.

People earn money for their own needs and to fulfill their own dreams. Now, we all want to fulfill our dreams whether we are poor, middle-class people, or rich people. We see dreams according to our statuses. A poor can't dream of becoming a celebrity (he/she can, depending on the circumstances but usually, it doesn't happen that way). He also knows that it is impossible for him to do so, so he remains confined to his situation and limits, trying to fulfill his or his family's basic needs. Rich people are already rich. For them, it is not a necessity to earn more and more money because what they have earned or are earning is enough to fulfill their basic needs and somewhat to an extent, their luxury needs. But there are people who gradually become greedy and want more of everything.

Some people try to get rich and sophisticated by seeing others or getting influenced by them. They start building castles in the air and not on the ground. A person can achieve that stage if he/she is focused and determined about his/her goals. But the one who doesn't show any enthusiasm for such goals, loses everything including what they already have. They waste money and time. They try to win the appreciation of others by having a lavish lifestyle much beyond their affordability. As a result of which, they suffer from the financial crisis.

A stage comes in everyone's life when they have earned enough to maintain a lavish and showoff life. They can buy everything with their money but not peace and appreciation in life.

On the other hand, a wise man maintains a natural balance between his income and expenditure, irrespective of whether he/she is poor or rich. One should always know the value of money and time as well. Such people are always satisfied with their lives. They enjoy peace in life and have a comfortable and contented life. They know where and how to spend money rather than to waste it.

That's why the saying "cut your coat according to your cloth" is very much needed in our daily lives so that everyday we should be thankful for what we have and make use of it for the betterment of ourselves and of others too.
